Walter Hillabrant has 50 years of experience as a psychologist and statistician. He is the President and founder of Support Services, International, Inc. (SSI), a consulting firm in Washington DC. He is a board member of C4 Recovery Foundation, co-founder and managing director of Native American Capital, LLC (NAC), and is the past President, Treasurer, and current Secretary of the District of Columbia Psychological Association (DCPA). Walter has served as the Treasurer of the ethnic minority caucus of the Council of Representatives of the American Psychological Association (APA).

Walter has been the principal investigator or senior consultant on more than 50 program evaluations, policy analyses, requirements analyses, needs assessments, and other studies for federal agencies and/or Indian tribes/organizations. He has served an expert witness in statistics and information management in federal courts and administrative hearings pertaining to minority health and education for the federal Departments of Education, Justice, and Health and Human Services. He is an enrolled member of the Citizen Potawatomi Tribe.

Walter is a clinical psychologist, licensed in the District of Columbia; he works with individuals and families specializing in treatment, and recovery from addiction and trauma. He has a doctorate and master’s degrees in psychology from the University of California (Riverside and a Berkeley respectively). His PostDoctoral Internship in Clinical Psychology (APA approved) was that the, Area C Community Mental Health Center, Washington, DC. Walter has the Diploma de Estudios Hispánicos, Facultad de Filosofía y Letras, Universidad de Madrid.
